Samrat Ashoka of Marathi film industry, Ashik Saraf was born on 4 th June, 1947 in Nagpur. He was also known as MAMA with his colleagues. He studied from DGT Vuidyalaya. He married Nivedita Jishi Saraf and has a child. Till date he worked for more than 250 films in Marathi and Hindi films. He received 5 filmfare awards and the first for Ram Ram Gangaram. He debuted from Janaki in 1969. Some of his great works are Hum Paanch, Karan Arjun etc. he has own production house called Aniket Telefilms.
